We understand this part of arranging the funeral can be distressing. Our friendly and compassionate staff are on hand to answer any questions you may have, and go through all the options available to you.

At Knight & Boys Funeral Service we supply a wide range of coffins and caskets suitable for both burial and cremation, including sustainable coffins for the environmentally concious.

Make it special

Many bereaved families will choose to place personal items in the coffin with the person who has passed away, such as photographs or letters. There are no restrictions from us on what you place in the coffin while it’s in our care, but please be aware that there may be some from the crematoria, such as metal or glass objects. We are happy to advise accordingly.

Carrying the coffin

We will always supply bearers to carry coffins and caskets. It may be your wish for family members and friends to carry the coffin instead.

Clothing

It is normally acceptable for the person who has died to be dressed in their own clothing. In particular circumstances, such as cremation, we are bound to comply with regulations which restrict certain materials. If it is your wish to provide the clothing for the deceased, please seek our advice first. As an alternative, we can supply a wide range of dressing and suiting robes that are acceptable to the relevant authorities.
